Head Coach

Chris Kenworthy

Coach Kenworthy grew up playing baseball.  In high school, his father (1965 USILA All American, Maryland) helped him see his potential in lacrosse and he played club lacrosse as an LSM.  Chris switched to short stick and played midfield for Glenelg and River Hill and was honored as a team captain and All County Honors.  He continued his athletic career playing lacrosse for Mount St. Mary's and transferred to UMBC and unfortunately got injured freshmen year.

Coach Kenworthy believes the knowledge and friendships he took from lacrosse are worth way more than any championships won and he concentrates that belief system with his coaching.  His claim - “I may not have the resume of being a Pro, I did nothing in college - not 1 stat, but the life lessons I learned, I can pass on and from there the boys can decide how far they are willing to take it.”  Well, after his first season coaching our youngest team in the program, not only did they become runner up Champs in GHCLC - but they won their summer Beach Lax tournament!  When asking Coach Kenworthy about this team, “stars in the making”.
