2019-2020 Evaluation Schedule for HLC Boys Teams

 

Saturday, August 3
5:00 – 6:30 PM:  2024 players

6:30 – 8:00 PM:  2023 players

 

Sunday, August 4
5:00 – 6:30 PM:  2025, 2026 players

6:30 – 8:00 PM:  2022 players

 

Wednesday, August 7
5:00 – 6:30 PM:  2025, 2029 & 2030 players

6:30 – 8:00 PM:  2024 players

 

Thursday, August 8
5:00 – 6:30 PM:  2027, 2028 players

6:30 – 8:00 PM:  2023 players

 

Saturday, August 10
9:00 – 10:30 AM: 2026, 2029 & 2030 players
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: 2027, 2028 players

 

Eligibility for Tryouts:  A player’s county or state residence, school, past club affiliations, or years of experience do not prohibit players from trying out.  Typically, players should be in grades 2 through 11 and have experience playing for rec travel and/or club teams. 

 

Tryout Participation:  Players are encouraged to attend all evaluation sessions for their age group.  This will allow players the maximum opportunity to showcase their skills and provide the evaluators with the best opportunity to observe them.

 

Tryout Location:  US Lacrosse Headquarters

Tryout Fee:  $40 one-time tryout fee.

 

Tryout Process:  Evaluations will be conducted by HLC’s coaching staff and knowledgeable independent evaluators.  Players will be evaluated on attitude, position-specific skills, athletic ability and lacrosse IQ during drills and scrimmage play.  Tryouts will conclude on August 10, 2019.  Players will be notified of results shortly after tryouts are complete. Invitations to join an HLC team must be accepted or declined by August 12, 2019.  Failure to respond by the 1st will be considered a decline. 

 

Registration:  Online registration is required for tryout participation.  At the time of registration, players will need to provide a valid U.S. Lacrosse ID number to participate in tryouts. Information on obtaining an ID number can be found at http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership.aspx
